Contributor guide

Useful travel knowledge starts with clear context.

Beyond values firsthand perspective, transparent disclosure, and details that can be checked over time. This is guidance—not a guarantee of publication, expertise, or truthfulness.

Firsthand

Say how you know.

Describe what you directly experienced, observed, or learned through a declared relationship with a destination. Add dates and trip context so readers and editors understand the limits of the perspective.

Good context is specific about the experience—not a claim to speak for everyone.

Disclosure

Make influence visible.

State sponsorship, affiliate relationships, hosted stays, gifts, employment, or business ownership. If none applies, say so plainly.

Freshness

Time-box updates.

For changes to access, transport, prices, or conditions, include when you observed it, why it matters, and when it should be checked again.

01

Choose a format

Use the resource type that best matches the traveler problem you are helping solve.

02

Complete the context

The private readiness checklist separates submission needs from optional trust signals.

03

Expect human review

Submitting sends a private resource to editors. It never publishes automatically.

Beyond does not open public contributor applications from this guide. Access and review follow the existing contributor workflow.
